See-Through Luggage

Sold by Crumpler for AU$745 (about $564).

If you buy this, it seems like it would be almost a crime not to pack something weird inside it, such as an inflatable love doll.

On the plus side, it should virtually eliminate someone taking you luggage...By accident anyway

I think I'd stick to the Cheeky stickers -- a lot cheaper and probably lead to more interesting situations.

But... where am I going to leave my pair of throwing knives and fifty gold sovereigns?

It might cause people who pack for a year when leaving for a weekend to trim down, and one suitcase less in baggage charges for the plane should pay for this in not time! "Sorry, honey, all we have left is the clear suitcase, so everyone will be able to see your undies. Are you sure you can't take one less bag?"

On the other hand, I wonder how many fashionistas will get to their destination and have to buy a whole new wardrobe. Never mind that they haven't ever worn the dress, everyone's already seen it!

I like the love doll idea. Be sure to place strategically located black tape strips in case someone's little one see's it. The more I think of it, the more tempted I get. I could just go to the baggage carousel, plop it down and then video all the reactions as it goes round and round.

Hasn't it already been demonstrated that anyone can hack into your suitcase zipper with a simple paperclip? Now you want them to find what they HOPE is in there, without having to dig through it?
I understand, in the interests of 'flying safely', this might be a tactic. But the TSA is gonna check it just the same.

I think one of those realistic baby dolls would get a bigger reaction.
And to Richard Bos; wonderful classic reference. I always wanted that briefcase. Still do.

Then just wear transparent clothes and shoes and TSA would just wave you right through!

A few years ago clear plastic purses had a very brief spin of being popular. A quick glance could reveal a ladies intentions or interest, condoms, a ladies pistol or perhaps bondage devices and sex toys. If I were to travel with clear luggage I would ensure it was neatly packed. My experience with TSA is they prefer neatly packed and organized luggage. So much so that a few years ago that they missed a expandable police baton and Swiss army knife I had left in a bag by mistake. I mailed them home prior to the return flight.

Yeah, that would've gotten you a bit more than a brief pat down if found!

I would make a trip carrying it empty, to see people try to figure out what I'm up to.
