Shakespeare Got It Wrong

When Shakespeare wrote, "First kill all the lawyers." he may have gotten it wrong. Insurance adjusters seem to be closer to the mark. Trying to cheat someone out of insurance for cancer treatment over a 26 cent error is just heinous.

This reminded me of the bueauracrcy in the movie "Brazil" by Terry Gilliam of Monty Python.

No, I still agree with The Bard. Had lawyers not obfuscated laws and worked hard to take the justice out of the judicial branch there wouldn't even have been any issue over this.

This is being treated as a legal issue as some part of the contract wasn't met.

For those who are uninterested but bored...

English Common Law was supposed to be made understandable to the average English speaker.

When there are 'officers of the court' in the executive branch and 'officers of the court' in the legislative branch then, pray tell, where is the 'separation of powers' that is mandated in the US constitution?

Expat ~ Haven't you you realized that when you became revolting in 1776, the only people to benifit were the 1%. Many were lawyers.
😊

I love it when the lawyers fight amongst themselves:

Married 10 years, fighting 17 years!

I really shouldn't complain -- I've always gotten great advice from lawyers ("Never fight the cops. I can get you out of anything but a grave." and "The less you say, the less you have to pay me to get it unsaid.").

@BMN: Well, maybe this time we'll get it right! Don't, however, disguise yourself as a rodeo clown or the PC police will pounce on you like a duck on a June bug.

No, just donĀ“t disguise yourself as a rodeo clown who acts like the grand wizard of the KKK

Obamacare will fix everything .... pffffffttttt. It's so nice that congress made themselves immune from it but voted it in.

I agree BD, they should ALL be required to participate or it should not hold up.
