Sock It To Me

The owners of a 3 year old Great Dane took him to the vet because he was groaning and trying to throw up. After x-rays showed a mass of something in his stomach, the vet decided to operate. The surgery progressed something like a magician pulling hankies out of his pocket as the vet pulled sock after sock out of the dog's stomach. It was 43 in all pictured above. Fortunately the doggie came through just fine. Man, I'd hate to have to foot the bill for that though!

I heard the vet being interviewed and there were 43 1/2 socks. She had no opinion of where the other 1/2 sock went. The owners now have a dog proof clothes hamper.

Friends of ours had a German Shorthaired Pointer. One day, Tim was mowing the back yard, and found a Scotch scrubbing sponge that had obviously been right through the dog. Said dog never ate one of those again...

Our golden retriever loves socks. Fortunately she only steals them and doesn't eat them.

Thanks Ty! Aww Hairy is adorable! BD's golden is so cute, she loves to get a mouth full of socks and hand towels and bring them to show off how many she can carry. She never chews them though. She's a good girl.
