It's a great marketing ploy, it makes me pay attention, and buy 3 to support the humor.

Although as it's kwik-e-mart, I'm assuming it has something to do with the Simpsons

When I lived in PA in the mid 60's they would advertise 10 cents each or two for a quarter.
