Steven Butcher, 50, a homeless transient, was sentenced to four years in prison for being the one responsible for a pair of California fires, and under terms of the law, he'll also be on the hook for the damage the fires did, er, $101 million, and it would really help the state's current budget crunch if Butcher could take care of that right away. People Different From Us: Boy, 16, came home Monday afternoon with a fast-food order, but his father yelled at him for getting the order wrong, so the boy shot his dad in the head, and when the police arrived, shot himself. (Bonus: The family is "very reclusive," said a neighbor.) Houston Chronicle
Johnny Lindner, 48, allegedly robbed Young's market in Bishopville, S.C., but his getaway car broke down, and he hailed a taxi to take him to "Lydia" (S.C.), but the driver didn't know how to get there and so stopped to ask directions at one of the few places open at that time of night, Young's market, where the investigating cop and the robbed clerk were just standing there when the taxi pulled up. Young's Market - Ricky Pearson says "...because he had done something wrong, and God just used me to bring him to justice. And that's what I was thinking."
Ricky, Ricky, Ricky! God decided you were too stupid to catch the dude on your own, what with your custom of consulting the bible for clues to help in solving all your cases. So, he gave you a slam dunk, my friend!

Neighbor Susie Hickson, 47, said that when she heard about the shooting, "In my head, I thought something had been wrong in the house."
And in the son's head, he heard......nothing!!

wanna bet that 16 year old child was beaten regularly. as for the neighbor, just another case an abused child being ignored by anyone and everyone who could have helped him. battered woman syndrom has been recognised for years what about battered children who act with the only thing they know, violence, to stop their own suffering.

Not saying the kid was or wasn't a victim of abuse but that's reaching a number of conclusions without facts (even a mugshot). Let's hold back from condemning the neighbor before getting even a hint of evidence.

well mark it said in the story that the neighbor said she saw the mother walking and the mother said she was made to leave the house. they did not associate with anyone according to that neighbor. she seemed to know a whole lot of stuff for the reporters. i also don't think an argument about fast food would end in a shooting in a well adjusted home. i mean no offense to your opinion but this story really disturbs me.
