Mind you, people - not just women - have indeed been getting taller. But not up to over 6 feet on average, not even in my country.

It must be because of war and immigration. In Mozambique, people were on average 10 cm shorter after the war than before. Meanwhile, immigration causes people from short nations (often thorn by war) to move to countries with a taller height average, and shortens the nation's height average. Don't blame immigration too fast, though, as it also caused countries like Canada and the United States to have a taller dick average, thanks to migrants from Equador and other well-endowed nations.
