Beautiful Existence At Starbucks

Beautiful Existence, her legal name, ate only at Starbucks for all of 2013. It cost her $500 to $600 a month to complete the 'challenge'. Between $6000 and $7200 for the year. I have one question; why??

It wasn't even only Starbucks. It was Starbucks or "a 'Starbucks-inspired' food source like Roy Street Coffee, Tazo Tea or Evolution Fresh."

So she ate at coffee shops for a year. Not exactly much of a challenge.

First she changes her name to something pretentious/extravagant/extremely unusual. Or did her parents do that to her?

Then she chooses weird challenges that last a year.
Starbucks is not her first. She had a year of shopping at Goodwill too.

Why? To gain nationwide attention in the media.
That's my guess.
