Carnival

How our ancestors amused themselves before digital technology, at "this noisy carefree island of helter-skelter joy."

Be sure to marvel at the fortune-telling bird.

I remember many of those carnival rides from when I was a kid. The "Rock 'n Roll" was a favorite.

I've always liked the speed rides like the roller coaster or something that turns you head over heels. There's something about the threat of losing those two quarts of beer you consumed with the two slices of pizza, the hamburger, foot long hot dog and ice cream sandwich that makes it all the more thrilling.

That kinda surprised me at the end. I was looking at the coaster and thought the particular pattern of curves looked familiar. There is a cyclone design at Lakeside Amusement Park in Denver that is very similar, and it was amusing to me that it was, in fact, the cyclone they were using on this show (not the one in Denver, though).
