Colored Easter Chicks

Apparently, if you inject dye into a living chicken egg, the chicks emerge colored.

Read how to do it here.

Happy Easter!

Ah.... I <<seriously>> hate to burst a couple of bubbles here but

(1) These chicks didn't hatch from bunny eggs. There is no such thing as bunny eggs.

(2) It ain't Easter yet! Today is Palm Sunday and everyone celebrating this most blessed event on the wrong day is going to burn in Hell's hottest fire. Honest!

Oh... BTW.... There will be a $10 federal excise tax levied on colored eggs next year.

I understand the confusion Expat. I had to go do some research after reading your comment and I came across this:
April 12 - Easter Sunday (Western Christianity - Roman Catholic, Anglican Communion, Protestant Churches, etc.)
April 19 - Easter Sunday (Orthodox Christianity - Eastern Orthodox Churches)
This article does a pretty good job of explaining why the dates are different.
So for us here in the states, we had Palm Sunday on April 5th and we celebrate Easter today. I'm sure God will be understanding of our all too human failing to get the date "right". :cheese:

Actually, ladies, there are 3 dates for Easter: Roman, Greek, and Russian. It all has to do with the moon and the "lost" 11 days when of the Gregorian calendar, bla, bla, bla.

Meltemi, you might want to check on the consequences of false celebration dates! There was one old dude over here a few years ago that was going ape over women swimming at the same beach (in the same water) as the guys. It also seemed that guys were not to supposed to bare their forearms for fear of exciting the ladies past the point that they could withstand the temptation!

Yea, I ran around the beaches that year flashing everything in (and out of) a bikini to no avail!

So what about those of us who don't celebrate it at all? Don't know where I'm going but something tells me I'll be running into a bunch of you all there!!

Does celebrating on the wrong day impact Christians the same way that praying in the wrong direction impacts Muslims? 'Cause if so then it seems you only need to get a priest/bishop/cardinal/whoever to say it's OK and - poof - it is!

It's just a story.

My dog colored herself green and red at Christmas time last year. She rolled in newly cut grass, which gave her grass stains in green. Then she played in a mud puddle under a bush that had red decorative rock around it and it gave her red spots. When you added the black grease mark on her head from running under my car, I had to wonder why I spent the $20 bucks on the "hydro-massaging" doggie bath earlier that day!
