An early example of Dakimakura. I understand Richard Chamberlain still has a warehouse of these which he will sell upon request.

There are some pretty obscure names in the bottom ad. Quick, who was Sharon Hugueny?

@ges -- She was a little flash-in-the-pan in the early 1960s. A lot of tv work; a few minor roles in best-forgotten movies.

There are a hundred such people for each star whose name you recognize.

Starlets were always a dime a dozen. Every episode of "What's My Line" (game show) had a mystery guest, a celebrity for the panel (blindfolded) had to identify. Steve Allen once said that sometimes he didn't recognize the 'celebrity' even after he took off his blindfold!

I must be dull, because I can't figure out how the "sex toys" category fits.

RobK--"sex toys" category was my lame joke riffing on the Japanese use of these imprinted fullbody pillows as "girlfriends" for otakus.
