Extending the 13th Amendment

PETA is attention whoring in the news once again. The animal rights fanatics have brought suit against Sea World for violation of the 13th amendment, the one that abolished slavery. The group is claiming that the Orcas belonging to Sea World are slaves and should be set free. If that is the case then perhaps Tilikum should be brought up on murder charges for earning the name killer whale by dragging a trainer under water and drowning her in 2010. There is no statute of limitations on murder.

Slaves? Really? Just a tad offensive to the decedents of actual slaves, don't you think?

I guess the next step is the fish in aquariums or any pet that is locked in a cage by their "owner". How about plants that are kept inside your house? Maybe the human race should sue God for locking us up on this planet.

PETA is so stupid.

Well you said it Cali, the organization favors death over kind and loving treatment of animals. Mistreating animals is terrible and should never be tolerated, but neither should the murder of domesticated animals simply to further a no animals as pets political agenda. That is the human equivalent of saying that all females in countries that subjugate women should be killed rather than allowed to live there. Extreme I know, but the same kind of extreme posturing PETA uses all the time to get media attention. Every organization has a lunatic fringe (the NRA is a good example) but unfortunately, in PETA the lunatic fringe has control of the organization.
