Wenthral & Paul, I was a city boy moved to the country. I had to learn about guns and gun safety from responsible adults. Oh... most of the kids in my high school owned or had ready access to guns in many forms and, IIRC, we didn't go around shooting each other.

As far as an "easy to use weapon", I'd think a good short barreled 12gage would be a LOT more useful!

Great point Marc. I guess the same applies for time traveling to the Jurassic period. I mean, you'll need a gun verse those friggin' dinosaurs too.
