I just pulled up Greenwich Village in Google Earth and there ain't no "winding streets" (50sec)!

it's a cotton commercial. is greenwich village still the same, or has it been more urbanized since the film?

I wish the Village now was as peaceful as they said. Well, some parts are, but I can't afford them.

And they showed the Circle in the Square theatre (4:58). Now it shares a building with the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway. It's more of an acting school now, though other theatre companies produce plays there. Nice place - I saw "The Rocky Horror Show" there.
