Shame on you Christopher Columbus

It seems that there is now proof a theory that Al Gore's assertion of the imminent meltdown of our favorite ball of mud is, in fact, just balancing of a global cooling event sparked off by Christopher Columbus!

It seems that 500 years ago Mr. C. Columbus opened the "New World" for tourism causing a mass exodus from Europe which lead to re-forestation of vast regions which, in turn caused more CO2 to be sucked out of the atmo....

Ah... this is just too much..... Go read the article.

So what now? Al Gore and his eco-pals are gonna call for the removal of mankind to save the planet? It would not surprise me in the least. 🙄

When science become a religion, as it has with the global warming crowd, those involved cherry pick their 'facts' to support their 'science'. The true scientific process has nothing to do with it.

High accolades that Mrs. Mom thinks I'm "The Chuck"!

But, Mom (may I call you "Mom"?) around here things can get a bit weird and "news" isn't quite what we're all about. As far as "inspiring youth" that's not our aim either! We're not attempting to be surrogate parents or even "Big Siblings". (note PC use of siblings vs alternate sexist terminology)

So, "Mom", what I'd suggest you do is check the DNS of the site and you'll find that you have mistakenly landed, not on MSNBC, CBS, ABC, or even FOX but, on WEIRD UNIVERSE.

Thank you for your attention.

@Terry

Around here, when in doubt, you can pretty well count on sarcasm being the order of the day but, please, don't let that keep you from weighing in on whichever side you wish. All concepts are discussed here, eh?
