The Jiger

My 2 favorite parts of this video: when they launch off a ramp into water; and the vaguely retro-porn-style musical score that someone added.

Wikipedia says this was the very first ATV.

I was hoping the word jiger referred to a cross between a jaguar and a tiger, like liger does for lion and a tiger.

It certainly went through a lot before being flipped over. I remember little postage stamp sized adverts in magazines like Popular Mechanics for such a vehicle.

I hope someday to catch up with the guy who decided that Internet videos always start with maximum volume.

I want one! I don't have anywhere to run it, and I doubt my spine would appreciate all the shocks, but I still want it (I got older, but I'll never admit to growing up).

Weirdly, just yesterday I delved a bit into omni wheels which provide propulsion in multiple directions. One projected use: "Omniwheels combined with conventional wheels provide unique performance properties, such as on a six-wheeled vehicle employing two conventional wheels on a center axle and four omniwheels on front and rear axles." -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omni_wheel

The music makes this video. And it makes me want a Jiger!

With the music, I kept expecting brightly colored ninjas to jump around the vehicle in a puff of smoke.

No helmet, no restraints, no roll bar.

@ges -- You say that like it's a bad thing.
