WaterCar Amphibious is Half Ram, Half Corvette, and Half Boat

Many of you may have heard of the Amphicar, the classic half boat, half car that did neither job well, but at least it looked good not doing its job. The same could not be said about the 2009 WaterCar Amphibious, however. Supposedly styled after the 2002 Camaro convertible, it looks more like someone welded the front half of a Dodge Ram truck to the back half of a Chevrolet Corvette, and then replaced the chassis with the bottom of a speedboat. The link contains several pictures of the vehicle on land as well as in the water.

I like your math skills Sam, they remind me of me ... three halves makes a whole!

As for the car, I want one!

I'm surprised it's tagged. No shoulder restraints. Besides, it probably isn't built for speed on the water.

kingmonkey,
I never have really understood the point of amphibious vehicles, but at least some of the other ones out there actually look good. This one, on the other hand...

Nethie and patty,
Of course, I was going for the humor of three halves making a whole, but it can also make sense if you consider that the design is half Ram and half Corvette, but the vehicle is half car and half boat. I figured that out all by myself.

if i'm not mistaken the license plate is Arizona - in the desert southwest and in the middle of a drought (along with the rest of us down here). Ha ha - a water-car in a drought-ridden desert state!
