Those beehive 'do's weren't very healthy for some. They got left up for extended periods due to the effort in redoing it. Just added more hairspray so no washing and anything that crawled in there could hide indefinitely. (shudder)

I find it interesting that the contestants are not as "cookie cutter" Barbie-proportioned in shape as they seem to be today.
