Cocoaine for the hair

I'm sure cocaine would soothe an irritated scalp, but I can't imagine why it would cure dandruff.

A little googling reveals that it contained cocoa-nut oil [sic] but no cocaine. The name was meant to imply that it contained cocaine, which was popular (and presumably legal) at the time.

And I wouldn't be surprised if coconut oil did in fact have some good effect on hair. I know some other oils do.
