GPS of the 1920s

I can think of one obvious problem with mounting the map in front of the windshield.

Looks like a prop that Laurel and Hardy would use in one of their short films.

Not to mention the fact that those kind of roller shades have the tendency to get stuck in the downward position!
The real solution was to hang the map on the rear window, that way it can double as an actual blind for the times you need to block the sun or headlights from your backside.
