Potato Peeler

I'll give the makers of this video credit for trying really hard to make an industrial potato peeler seem exciting. But in the end, it's just a potato peeler. Wait for the epic zoom-in at around 1:10.

Seems to have lost a lot more mass than could be attributed to just the peelings. And, are those 'green' potatoes?

"...it's just a potato peeler."

Alex, here in Idaho, them's fighting words. In these parts, that video almost qualifies as porn.

I love the apple peeling thing! It would be great for potatoes as well.

I Googled the price on the machine in the video and found "Legend 18Kg Potato Peeler VP13" List Price : £1,650.00

However, I love appropriate technology and know of a similar system that can do the same thing for almost free. PLEASE watch this video:

How to peel a bag of potatoes in 50 seconds

I think men will love this. Women, maybe won't get the joy of this. However, I think when using this technique, it is strongly recommended to the men to remember to use a NEW toilet cleaning brush, and not the handy one you've just grabbed... ;o)

I'd still like to know the before & after weight.

Neat to watch but Expat makes a good point about waste. The apple thing would work for potatoes too and it is also cool.
