I never saw a Senor Wences sketch until now, but I feel like references to him kept popping up in children's cartoons well into the '90s. Particularly the Pedro "s'awright" bit.

He was wonderful! It was a bit of torture to have to sit through the other acts on The Ed Sullivan show, but it was worth it as soon as the box started talking.

His "s'awright" was awright; otherwise, one viewing was way plenty for some of us.
