The movie poster refers to a movie (Jaws) that came out two years later (1975) than this one (1973).

Bit of a red flag there.

@crc -- That's common. You often see posters displaying how many Oscar wins/nominations a movie had, even though those happen up to a year after initial release. Also, movies often wait years to be released in other countries.

iirc, this was the first Zanuck/Brown movie, and it didn't do well at the box office. Adding more pizzazz to the poster is typical when re-releasing a movie.

@Phideaux: oh, yeah - very common with books as well. *Boring suburbia romance*, by the author of *LURID BESTSELLER*! And yes, with that capitalisation, too.

I always thought Heather Menzies was cute. Only after I noticed her as an adult did I realize I had first seen her as Louisa, the second-oldest Von Trapp daughter, in The Sound of Music.
