When I win a near-billion-dollar lottery, some of the money will go to having high school students build early 20th Century failed aircraft designs using modern composites and powerplants just to see if the designs aren't as preposterous as they look and merely lacked the strong and lightweight materials and extreme power they need (the most common errors of amateur inventors are overestimating material strength and underestimating power requirements).
