Two Disneys

Have you ever seen a bicycle-built-for-two where the riders sit side-by-side? Me neither! And the fact that this one is ridden by Walt Disney and wife Lillian makes the whole scenario even more tantalizing.

Who do the legs belong to sticking out of the left side of the photo? Today you wouldn't see that as it would be just too easy to digitally remove them.

I didn't look at the full sized shot so I missed the cigarette but back when this shot was taken there were doctors waxing rhapsodic on the benefits of a good, clean smoke! Just the opposite of today's doom and damnation.

As far as "retouching" B&W;you could do very little in the dark room other than dodge, burn and mask. After that it was retouch the negative or paint out/in the print.

i would tend to think this bike would be easier to balance than the front/back one. i acctually rode a f/b one years ago, the person i rode with was used to riding it so it went fairly well.
