Follies of the Mad Men #28

SURGEON GENERAL'S WARNING: Ingesting almost two hours of vintage cigarette commercials for the same brand might be dangerous to your health. Symptoms may include light-headedness, uncontrollable giggling, and a desire to stick two cigarettes in your mouth simultaneously. Indulge with caution!

Alpine! Alpine! Alpiiine!

Especially in those earlier ads, the jingle is totally ineffective. It doesn't give you an easy mnemonic device to stick in your brain.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to light two cigarettes from the tips of the two already in my mouth.

Funny how nobody seems to equate smog with lung disease. BTW, only pussies smoked Alpines.

BigG: As you're from Texas I'd expect you to understand the use of exaggeration to make a point! 😉
