You need a cop to get out of Zales with your purchase today.

@Tad: No I don't. I got a device today that
Runs on DC, internal battery, or 2AAs
Has a built-in recharger
Has a flashlight
Accepts USB
Accepts SD memory sticks
Plays several different audio formats
Is a radio (AM/FM)
Is a PA system
Records from radio, USB, and/or SDs
Has a speaker or accepts head phones
Is about the size of 4 packs of cigarettes and weights about the same

And it only cost €15

My first guess was an advert for a defense lawyer.

I couldn't even imagine a guess for that one. @Expat, yeah but if you are mugged carrying the one you have now you couldn't use it to defend yourself!

It was a thing in the late 60s to buy portable radios from police auctions. They were personal property which had been confiscated during arrests and weren't returned for one reason or another.

One guy claimed he'd bought over two hundred, and on average, about one in six had some kind of dope hidden in it. Mostly weed, but some rolls of dots (LSD?) and other things.
