We still see it nowadays, but in the form of Colgate (or Aquafresh) toothpaste gel pump. Maybe to mimic shaving gel pumps, or is it the other way around?

Try not to store the shave gel container next to the toothpaste container or that could start your day on a very sour note, eh?

I remember a joke about mistaking hemorrhoid cream for toothpaste on a blurry morning. "My mouth was so small I couldn't eat a jelly bean."
