2008 Wife-Carrying Contest

image
Although the most famous wife-carrying contest--the original event in Finland--came and went in July, as you can learn in the clip below, other such events are going on regularly, such as this recent New Hampshire contest.

I'm thinking we need to enter a WEIRD UNIVERSE team in one of these competitions. Any volunteers?

I can't see how the wives can enjoy that. They could drown going through that pool. Maybe not drown but I'm sure they get a nose full of water. Can't be fun.

Madd Maxx--but you win your weight in beer!

I think the guy in the video with the wife in the red shirt thought that he could win her weight in beer. There, I said it.

Do I have to marry one of you to compete?

Jules - Are you willing to do that? Look at where your nose would be. Oh well, some Ennds could help with that.

Remember, I find it humerous! Just please don't drink Guiness the night before.
How 'bout it - any takers? 💋

Jules--actually, I was thinking of male-female teamups from among the commenters! Either actual husband-wife existing teams, or new pairings like you and KW!

damn, I'm sick of being single :long:

Jules, if you're really, really strong, I'll partner up with you. But if you drop me in the water, or fart in my face, you will pay.

I couldn't carry my wife too far. She's kind of small, but so am I. I think we may both have elfin blood (although she may be part gnome 'cause she's from Russia). We'd both be good for being carried, though.
