Playing on the company name in not so politically correct times.

I have my father's Savage rifle that was given to him when he was a wee lad. It is a well made firearm and he told me that he used it to put venison on the table when his family lived near Molkolume Hill in California during the World War 2 meat rationing program in the early 1940's.

It seems to me a real savage would use a weapon like a pike, mace, or battleaxe. I guess a big rock would be ok.

I thought Native Americans preferred lever action rifles. I can't imagine working a bolt action while riding at full gallop.
