Weird Korean Posters

As mentioned previously, my nephew Rey is teaching young students in South Korea. Here're two oddball posters he photographed. I can only assume that they are warning youngsters about the dangers of the internet.

The first picture means don't look at porn on the internet or the masturbation monster will get you. The second poster means the internet revolution is coming and we should all bow down to our computer masters.

This is just a warning that computers will ultimately take over the world!

No, the second one is a calculator, and the words underneath say "Math is evil."

I imagine this is related to computer addiction. In Korea I think it's more with games than the Internet per se, though the games are Internet games. I've heard of deaths in Korea/China because people didn't get enough food/sleep.

In Japan, I haven't heard of a problem like this related to overuse of the Internet, but there have been situations where people send mail using a fake mail address or someone else's mail address in which they say nasty things to the recipient. I believe this's resulted in suicide in some cases...

"The propaganda is astounding, they thing us Americans are the worlds evil."

Nick, I live in Canada, and the opinion isn't much different 😉
