Alice in Dairyland

I can see having a beauty queen to represent the dairy region. But what's the Lewis Carroll connection? The website is not forthcoming. Does she have surreal adventures or not?

Well, having to travel through all of Wisconsin, I guess she sees more than her share of white rabbits, caterpillars, mushrooms, mad, hatted people drinking tea, crying babies that look like pigs, unnaturally-colored flowers and nonsense-spewing.

@Yuddith -- thanks, now I'll have that song running through my head all day . . . "one pill makes you small . . ."

Wasn't there once a joke going around about Wisconsin college cheerleaders out grazing in the fields?

And don't forget Elton John's ode to Alice. All the young girls loved her.

I grew up in Wisconsin, and knew some girls who entered the Alice in Dairyland competition. We always figured it got that name because the more obvious name of "Dairy Queen" was already taken.

And @Yudith... those mad, hatted people probably aren't drinking tea.
