Often the other pages in these old magazines are a trove of interesting tidbits. Scrolling down, I found an article about one of Mussolini's mistresses. Here's a Wikipedia article on her: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magda_Fontanges. Highlights: she shot the French ambassador, blaming him for Mussolini jilting her, and was fined 100 francs for doing so. She was paid $42 a month for her services as an informant during the occupation of France.

I avoid clicking on the links in these articles because it means at least an hour going through the magazine. (There's no such thing, for me, as looking at one page and leaving -- I know too well what treasure lurks on nearby pages.)

The advert on Page 67 flummoxed me. Did thousands really say "Some day I hope to own a White" in 1937? Ever?
