The talking beer mugs in the audience were Schultz and Dooley. They were featured in many ads for Utica Club beer back in my youth. (I can still sing the jingle.) There are lots of Schultz and Dooley ads on Youtube. Of course, the ethnic stereotyping wouldn't go over in today's world.
