Just one comment on this ad: why is this woman trying to scorch her own eyeball? Is this a hairdryer aimed at masochists?

My grandma had one of these. Believe me, it wasn't this exciting to use.

BikerPuppy--that woman is plainly having an ecstatic moment.

My point exactly. It's a crappy piece of plastic with a comb on the end, and it gets uncomfortably hot. Uncomfortably hot! Even for your hand. You wouldn't press it against your face or... anywhere else.

My grandmother had one of these too. Quite possibly one of the stupidest beauty accessories up until the Epilady came out.

I have to admit though, that it was fun playing with the cap. 😊

I'm pretty sure Epilady was the bastard child of a medieval torture device. Sadly, I owned one.

Please, no one mention "full Brazilian," lest I start to wince.

I'm afraid that I owned one too.

Matilda--I bet these hairdryers will turn up in vintage stores soon, if they haven't already.

Karan--indeed, she is dragging hot tines across her eyeball!

Vern--you've hit on the only explanation for this behavior!
