Stanisław Szukalski

Stanisław Szukalski was a painter and sculptor who also developed the pseudoscientific historical theory of Zermatism, positing that all human culture was derived from a post-deluge Easter Island and that mankind was locked in an eternal struggle with the Sons of the Yeti. He illustrated this theory in his works.

Today's culture story has to be one of the best presented in a long time. The most heart wrenching part is losing all the works during the Nazi assault on Poland. I recommend visiting the website for the sculptor and look through the gallery. Much of what is displayed probably only hints at Szukalski's talent.
