I remember these but "delicately scented" isn't among those memories... I've also been to Nice but the @#$@#$ there weren't very nice.

Like the Tardis, that Rolls is much bigger on the inside than it looks. Along with a tub (with a quarter ton of warm water) she had a wardrobe for her change of clothes and a full vanity for her make-up and to re-do her hair.

Very good points, KDP and tadchem. I was more worried about negotiating the hills, but yes, a quarter ton of oily water going slosh if the driver swerves is going to do odd things to the suspension, at the very least.
